Highlights 2023

Welcome to the highlights of the Harvey Party golf tour of Portugal, March 2023. Covid-19 is now firmly behind us and we enjoyed a sunny week in Portugal which became eventful with a visit to the local municipal police station.

We left London on March 8th this year flying British Airways into Faro and flew back as planned on March 15th into Gatwick airport.

This year we are again 5 members of the team on tour – Terry, Keith, Rob, Andy1 and Andy2. We stayed at the Avenida Hotel again in the heart of Lagos.

We visited a number of great Restaurants like Henrique, Valenza, Restaurant Mar, Portofinos Italian Restaurant, Clover Leaf Indian a strange Dutch restaurant in Monte Gordo and gala dinner at Don Sebastio. We played Espiche golf course twice, Parque De Floresta and Boa Vista. I suspect we will avoid Espiche in 2024 as the course is renowned for lost golf balls.

The highlight this year was our mistake of parking on Friday night in front of a car park used by Market traders. Our van was impounded and we had to pay 150 Euro fine and a visit to the police station for Andy 1 and Andy 2.
